Contro chi tiene la gente col fuoco

Contro il razzismo sudafricano
contro la destra del governo israeliano
conto chi ha commesso stragi, pagato ancora non ha
per tutta la gente ormai stanca che vuole verit.

contro chi soffoca le speranze
contro antichi fondamentalismi e nuovi imperialismi
contro la poca memoria della storia.

nuclear

against the crazy martyrs of the IRA
against unjust sanctions, American crusades
for all the people who suffer, and who die of hunger.
Against those who keep people in flames
against those who command and hold the game
against those who talk about brotherhood, love, freedom
and then fund wars and atrocities.
Against South African racism
against the right wing of the Israeli government
against those who have committed massacres, still haven’t paid
for all the people now tired who want the truth.
Against all intolerances
against those who suffocate hopes
against ancient fundamentalisms and new imperialisms
against the short memory of history.
Against those who make war seem a duty
against those who want dominance and power
against the medals of honor, of sanctity
for all the people who shout for freedom.
