Y yo sigo atorado preguntando: ¿Qué hago conmigo?
Mr. Clock
Mr. Clock, why do you move so fast?
I haven't even figured out who I am and you want me in the next chapter
Where it’s time to be an adult even though I’m still shy
With plans half-broken and a future half-sarcastic
My friends are already bragging that they found their way
And I’m still stuck asking: What do I do with myself?
Sometimes I feel like my story has already reached its end
But I’m just getting started, and I haven’t even gone
And you, with your hands ticking away what I should do
Like it’s a race when it’s just a dream
And I, thinking it’s all over, that I’ve let everything go in the wind
When there’s still a whole world left
Mr. Clock, stop for a bit, I’m not doing that bad
It’s just that sometimes I get scared when I think about the end
And even if I feel finished, I can still do more
I still have stories that I don’t know how to tell
Mr. Clock, let me breathe, ease up on my shoulders
If I seem defeated, it’s because I’ve learned to doubt
I know, I grew up fast, like a cheap trick
One of those that impresses, but leaves something off
And I bought into the idea that I’m already behind
When I’m just starting to see what I want by my side
It’s ridiculous, I know: Being twenty and feeling
Like I’ve already failed at what I could build
But if I look closely, I’m still ready to go
I just have to learn that not everything is a competition
And you, with your tick-tock judging every move
Like there’s a manual for being on time
And I, thinking the past has already decided my fate
When I can still change it all around
Mr. Clock, stop for a bit, I’m not doing that bad
It’s just that sometimes I get scared when I think about the end
And even if I feel finished, I can still do more
I still have stories that I don’t know how to tell
Oh Clock, let me breathe, ease up on my shoulders
If I seem defeated, it’s because I’ve learned to doubt
Hey, don’t yell at me that it’s late
If I don’t even know what I want
Hey, if life were an art
I’m just sketching the canvas
Hey, don’t push me to be an adult
When I’m still rebuilding
The parts I thought were lost
But are still here living
Mr. Clock, stop for a bit, I’m not doing that bad
It’s just that sometimes I get scared when I think about the end
And even if I feel finished, I can still do more
I still have stories that I haven’t even started
Mr. Clock, I get your game now
I’m not old, I’m not broken, I just have to trust
That even if the road shakes, I can start again
And one day I’ll understand why you make me wait
Mr. Clock
Just let me move forward
