Achei um grande amigo, Jesus, o Salvador
Contarei quão grandes coisas fez por mim
Estando eu perdido, indigno pecador
Resgatou-me, e agora eu sirvo a Ele enfim
Em Seu amor imenso, por mim morreu na cruz
E o perdão dos meus pecados outorgou
Assim me regozijo, vivendo em Sua luz
Aleluia! Jesus Cristo me salvou!
Por este grande amigo, desejo aqui viver
E com Ele sempre estar em comunhão
Servi-Lo fielmente, seguindo Seu querer
Vou a Cristo consagrar meu coração
Se o mundo me persegue, se tenho tentação
Com Jesus em minha vida, vencerei
E a cada dia Cristo conduz-me pela mão
E na Sua graça sempre confiarei
Já vem chegando o dia, a bíblia assim o diz
Em que Cristo a este mundo voltará
Momento tão alegre! Que dia mais feliz!
Sim, que dia esplendoroso então será!
E assim com Ele sempre no céu habitarei
Já liberto do pecado e da dor
E lá, constantemente, Seu rosto então verei
E estarei pra sempre junto ao Salvador
I Found a Great Friend
I found a great friend, Jesus, the Savior
I’ll tell of the great things He’s done for me
When I was lost, an unworthy sinner
He rescued me, and now I serve Him faithfully
In His immense love, He died on the cross for me
And granted me the forgiveness of my sins
So I rejoice, living in His light
Hallelujah! Jesus Christ saved me!
For this great friend, I want to live here
And always be in communion with Him
To serve Him faithfully, following His will
I’ll dedicate my heart to Christ
If the world persecutes me, if I face temptation
With Jesus in my life, I will overcome
And every day Christ leads me by the hand
And in His grace, I will always trust
The day is coming, the Bible says so
When Christ will return to this world
What a joyful moment! What a happy day!
Yes, what a glorious day it will be!
And so with Him, I’ll dwell in heaven
Already freed from sin and pain
And there, constantly, I’ll see His face
And I’ll be forever with the Savior
