Nós éramos pedras de rua
Chutadas, pisadas por pés
Batíamos contra outras pedras
Rolávamos sempre em revés
Até que caímos no abismo
Disformes, quebradas, sem luz
Nas trevas da noite ficamos
Perdidas à sombra da cruz!
A pedra que os homens quebraram
Ficou como pedra angular
A pedra que foi rejeitada
É pedra que pode salvar
Se tu te perderes contigo
Procura encontrar a Jesus
A joia das joias, amigo
É pedra que vida traduz
A pedra de esquina do templo
Tirou-nos da lama fatal
Limpou-nos do lodo envolvente
É grande esse amor divinal!
Nos fez pedras vivas e úteis
No templo, na causa de Deus
E ainda lapida as arestas
Que encontra nos filhos seus
Na guerra do bem contra o mal
Sejamos um muro de fé
Lutemos em prol dos princípios

Kicked, stepped on by feet
We hit against other stones
We always rolled backwards
Until we fell into the abyss
Misshapen, broken, without light
In the darkness of the night we stayed
Lost in the shadow of the cross!
The stone that men broke
Remained as a cornerstone
The stone that was rejected
Is a stone that can save
If you lose yourself
Try to find Jesus
The jewel of jewels, friend
Is a stone that translates life
The cornerstone of the temple
Took us out of fatal mud
Cleaned us from the surrounding mire
This divine love is great!
Made us living and useful stones
In the temple, in God's cause
And still polishes the edges
It finds in His children
In the war of good against evil
Let us be a wall of faith
Let us fight for the principles
That always keep us standing
Soon we will be with Christ
Walking in paths of light
And, stones once stepped on
We will be the victory of the cross
