El Juglar
Le dijeron
Que era triste aquel lugar
Y se puso en camino
Se decía
Que un mal duende descargó
Su maldad en aquel sitio
Al llegar allí
Las gentes comentaban
¿A qué viene este tipo?
Y en la noche él
Con su flauta sonsoneaba
Su lamento y su quejido
Y esas gentes
No tenían corazón
No sentían escrúpulos
Se reían de él
Le miraban con desprecio
No tenían sentido
Murmuraban
Le insultaban a su espalda
No molaban ni cinco
Pero un día
El yugo de su verdad
Empezó a destruirlos
Alguien que
Atento a su verdad
Llegó a llamarle amigo
Recordaron con respeto
Las palabras
De aquel señor mendigo
Pues cantaba profecías
Y hechizaba
A las gentes su sonido
Le llamaron libertad
Igual que a su canción
Siguiendo su camino
The Minstrel
They told him
That place was sad
And he set off
He said
That an evil spirit unleashed
Its wickedness in that place
Upon arriving there
People were saying
What's this guy up to?
And at night he
With his flute played softly
His lament and his moan
And those people
Had no heart
They felt no scruples
They laughed at him
They looked at him with disdain
They made no sense
They whispered
They insulted him behind his back
They were not cool at all
But one day
The weight of his truth
Began to destroy them
Someone
Attentive to his truth
Came to call him friend
They remembered with respect
The words
Of that beggar gentleman
For he sang prophecies
And enchanted
People with his sound
They called him freedom
Just like his song
Following his path
