Goddess of the End

Oblivion Scorn

Footsteps echo in my mind
She's behind me, every time
Can't outrun this cursed design
The clock is bleeding through the line

I see her face in every flame
She knows my sins, she calls my name
They bow to her, they crave her kiss
But I know death is not the fix

She's the Goddess of the End, dressed in black, crowned in lies
With a voice like poisoned wind, whispering our final cries
My time is breaking, soul is thin
But I won't let her pull me in
Death is not the door to grace
It's a mask we all must face

I walk through shadows, hunted prey
The reaper sings, I look away
The world has chosen rot and pain
Worshipped death, and called it sane

She waits beneath the skin of fate
A queen of dust, of love and hate
But I refuse to kneel and crawl
She may rise, but I won't fall

She's the Goddess of the End, cold and silent in disguise
Feeding on the hopes we spent, hiding truth behind her eyes
My breath is short, my blood runs thin
But I won't let the dark win
I still believe in more than dust
A life beyond what breaks and rusts

You worship death, you sing her name
But there's no peace inside her flame
She offers silence, not rebirth
A pretty lie wrapped in the dirt

Run from her, run from the grave
Don't let her turn your soul a slave
The end is near, but still I breathe
She'll never drag what I believe

Goddess of the End, your reign won't swallow me
I may be torn and broken, but I still fight to be free
Let them kneel, let them decay
I choose to live another day
Death is not my destiny
I was not born to cease, but be

She fades
But I remain
