The Ode To Fall Of Gil-Galad
Gil-galad was an Elven-king.
Of him the harpers sadly sing:
The last whose realm was fair and free
Between the Mountains and the Sea.
His sword was long, his lance was keen,
His shining helm afar was seen;
The countless stars of heaven´s field
Were mirrored in his silver shield.
But long ago he rode away,
And where he dwelleth, that none can say...
La Oda a la Caída de Gil-Galad
Gil-galad era un rey élfico.
De él los arpistas cantan tristemente:
El último cuyo reino era hermoso y libre
Entre las Montañas y el Mar.
Su espada era larga, su lanza afilada,
Su brillante yelmo se veía a lo lejos;
Las innumerables estrellas del campo celestial
Se reflejaban en su escudo de plata.
Pero hace mucho tiempo cabalgó lejos,
Y donde mora, eso nadie puede decir...
