Ele temia ao Senhor, e cantava louvores ao Deus de Abraão
Toda vez que ele tocava, Deus se alegrava desde os altos céus
E recebendo o seu louvor, Deus o chamou pra ser rei de Israel
O seu coração humilde alcançou a graça e a sabedoria, e revestido de poder ele pôde
Vencer o gigante Golias, dedilhando a sua harpa, todo o mau espírito
Pra longe fugia, pois se louvas a Deus com franqueza até a tristeza salta de alegria
Toca menino Davi, toca mais uma canção, ninguém pode resistir o dedilhar
De tuas mãos, toca que Deus quer ouvir, lindos salmos de vitória, pois
Todos que louvam a Deus têm a esperança de morar na glória
Deus o grande criador é o vencedor de todas as guerras
Seu olhar cheio de amor, sempre se voltou para os fiéis da terra
Onde existe humildade, Deus tem liberdade para operar

Out in the field, among the sheep, there was a boy with a harp in his hands
