The Little Donkey

Pedro Infante

La Burrita

Arre que llegando al caminito aquimichú aquimichú,
Arre que llegando al caminito aquimichu aquimichu.
A qui mi chula mi burrita aunque vaya enojadita

No te fijes mi burrita no te vayas a espantar

The Little Donkey

Arre arriving at the little path aquimichú aquimichú,
Arre arriving at the little path aquimichu aquimichu.
Here my pretty little donkey even though she's a bit angry
Because I didn't give her her alfalfa because I didn't give her her corn.

Arre arriving at the little path aquemichu aquemichú,
Arre arriving at the little path aquemichu aquemichú.
What a beautiful hairy one I'm talking about the little donkey
And if she uses her trunk it's to make me like her more.

Don't worry my little donkey don't get scared
A mule in the cornfield has come to frolic.
No worries little donkey you can't get scared
As they always go together she got used to it.

Arre arriving at the little path aquemichu aquemichú,
Arre arriving at the little path aquemichu aquemichú.
Oh, the skinny little donkey needs her grass
If she stays still my captain will give it to her.

Poor little donkey doesn't want to walk anymore
Takes a few steps forward and then as many back.
Arre, arre my little donkey don't make me angry
We'll arrive soon and you'll get your corn.

Don't be so stubborn you might trip
And the fall will be hard because the captain is tough.
Don't be so fancy because it might turn out
That those fancy things become decorations on a military cap.
