La tarde se marchaba y entre sombras comenzó a llover
Un corazón oraba ante Dios un poco más que ayer
Señor, yo sé que me amas y tú sabes que te he sido fiel, no tardes en responder
Pero en Dios hay que esperar su tiempo en lo que quieres ver

Porque en la Biblia había leído ya de que Dios contestaba
Pedid y se os dará
Siguió creyendo tener algún día aquellas cosas que tanto deseaba
Porque es que en sus promesas, si confías, no te fallará
Porque Dios concedió lo que pedía aun cuando menos ella lo esperaba
Y comprendió que Dios obra en su tiempo y a su voluntad
Doblaba sus rodillas ante Dios todas las madrugadas
Y de sus ojos brotaba la pena mojando la almohada
Porque en la Biblia había leído ya de que Dios contestaba
Pedid y se os dará
Si tú creyendo tener algún día aquellas cosas que tanto anhelaban
Porque es que en sus promesas
Si confías, Dios no te fallará
