No olvidaré
No olvidaré
No olvidaré
A las maestras
Que tanto hicieron por esta letra
Y a las artistas
Las que burlaran a la censura
Las guerrilleras
Que resistieron los bombardeos en las trincheras
Los escondidos
Por 30 años tras un armario
Los acusados
Y fusilados por sus ideas
Los extinguidos
Abandonados bajo este suelo sin una rosa
Las silenciadas
Las que del miedo quedaron mudas
Las que parieron
Y les privaron de la semilla
Las invisibles
Hoy las nombramos para que su llama
Nunca se extinga
No olvidaré
No olvidaré
No olvidaré
The Forgotten Ones
The forgotten ones
Those who echo in memory
The hunted
From the nightfall in the middle of the hill
The exiled
Those who never saw their kids run again
The forgotten ones
Those who hid bread in the wicker
The hunted
And marked by the whole town
The exiled
Those who never saw their daughters run again
I won’t forget
So that all this sleeplessness meant something
So the poem doesn’t get lost under the hat
I won’t forget
So I can tell my kids about their grandparents
So that one day, finally, the bones can rest, justly
I won’t forget
To the teachers
Who did so much for this writing
And to the artists
Who outsmarted the censors
The guerrilla fighters
Who resisted the bombings in the trenches
The hidden ones
For 30 years behind a closet
The accused
And shot for their beliefs
The extinguished
Abandoned under this ground without a rose
The silenced
Those who were left mute by fear
Those who gave birth
And were deprived of the seed
The invisible
Today we name them so their flame
Never goes out
I won’t forget
So that all this sleeplessness meant something
So the poem doesn’t get lost under the hat
I won’t forget
So I can tell my kids about their grandparents
So that one day, finally, the bones can rest, justly
I won’t forget
