del nuevo rico
que mira en menos
al siempre pobre.
¡Alharaca!
del blanco hechizo
que mira en menos
al indio y al mestizo.
¡Alharaca!
Tanto que andar por el mundo
para entrar y darse cuenta
de lo inmenso de la afrenta
con la que se trata al vulgo.
El dolor es muy profundo
delante' tanta arrogancia
sin sentido ni sustancia
y con total desenfado.
¡Ya se verá el resultado
si aumenta la discordancia!
Aquí por na' se acreditan
la soberbia y el descaro
cuando un hombre sin amparo
una mano solicita;
de un tirón su honor marchita
un nuevo rico cumplido
que moderno y presumido
lo arrumba muy satisfecho.
¡Vaya el tremendo derecho
de ser un tipo metido!
La tierra es grande y compuesta
de nativos muy diversos
y aunque a veces muy dispersos
su armonía manifiesta.
Por eso aquí la protesta
que en mi país de mestizos
todo aquel que es más cobrizo
se encuentra en un casillero
¡Cuando el portazo es primero,
en contra me movilizo!
¡Habrá que invertir las normas
del cielo y la economía,
hacer verde apología
del poema y las reformas,
inventar cien plataformas
y tocar diez panderetas.
Pero no hay mejor receta
para apurar la conciencia:
¡"Sólo el amor con su ciencia"
como dijera Violeta!

on the Indian and the mestizo.

So much to travel the world
to enter and realize
the immensity of the offense
with which the common people are treated.
The pain is very deep
in the face of such arrogance
without sense or substance
and with total nonchalance.
The result will be seen
if discord increases!
Here, for nothing, they are credited
with arrogance and shamelessness
when a man without protection
asks for a hand;
with a pull, his honor withers
a fulfilled new rich
who, modern and conceited,
disposes of him very satisfied.
What a tremendous right
to be a stuck-up guy!
The earth is large and composed
of very diverse natives
and although sometimes very scattered
its harmony is evident.
That's why here the protest
in my country of mestizos
that anyone who is more copper-skinned
is put in a box
When the door is slammed first,
I mobilize against it!
The rules will have to be reversed
from heaven and the economy,
to make a green apology
for poetry and reforms,
to invent a hundred platforms
and play ten tambourines.
But there is no better recipe
to hasten consciousness:
"Only love with its science"
as Violeta would say!
