Junto, a un estanque de agua
Con enfermedad variada
Se juntó la multitud
Un ángel removía aquellas aguas
Y el primero que bajaba
Recibía la salud
Hacían 38 largos años
Que un enfermo había esperado
Pero nunca allí sanó
Contaba a un hombre su desdicha
Pero no sabía que hablaba
Con Jesús hijo de Dios
¡Era Jesús, el hombre con quien hablaba!
¡Era Jesús, que al estanque llegó!
¡Era Jesús, a quién necesitaba!
Jesús llegó y al enfermo sanó
El hombre en seguida tomó el lecho
Y por el pueblo contento
Iba dando Gloria a Dios
Y el pueblo, como ya le conocían
Maravillado decían, un milagro le sanó
Decían al hombre, los religiosos
Como en día de reposo
Tu lecho puedes cargar

Next to a pool of water
With various diseases
The crowd gathered
An angel stirred those waters
And the first one to go down
Received healing
For 38 long years
A sick man had waited
But never healed there
He told a man his misfortune
But didn't know he was speaking
To Jesus, Son of God
It was Jesus, the man he was talking to!
It was Jesus, who arrived at the pool!
It was Jesus, whom he needed!
Jesus came and healed the sick
The man immediately took his bed
And happily went through the town
Giving glory to God
And the people, as they already knew him
Wondered, saying, a miracle healed him
The religious leaders said to the man
As it's the Sabbath day
You can't carry your bed
And the man fearlessly replied
The one who healed me told me
That I could carry it
It was Jesus, the man he was talking to!
