Juan Paye
Me dicen Juan Paye
y tambien Cahurei'.
Yo soy de Taragui'
para servirle a "uste'"...
Tigrero y domador,
soy gaucho del batel.
Tengo una "guaina" fiel
que me brindo' su amor...
De madrugada, mi churrasco y mis amargos,
y en seguidita me voy yendo pa'l corral,
donde no faltan casi nunca los encargos
se sosegarle los corcovos a un bagual...
Durante el dia , lazo, yerra o lo que venga;
de nochecita, soy de nuevo Juan Paye.
Me visto lindo, y en mi zaino con mi "guaina"
nos vamos juntos a bailar el chamame'.
Ah, mi Taragui pora' !
acordeon y "mbaraca",
"guah !, rasguido doble ...
Trotecito por aca,
una vuelta por alla,
bien bailado esta'.
Juan Paye
They call me Juan Paye
and also Cahurei'.
I'm from Taragui'
to serve 'ya'...
Tigrero and tamer,
I'm a gaucho from the countryside.
I have a faithful 'guaina'
who offered me her love...
In the early morning, my barbecue and my bitter drinks,
and right after I head to the corral,
where there's almost always work to calm down
the bucking of a wild horse...
During the day, lasso, branding or whatever comes;
in the evening, I'm Juan Paye again.
I dress up nice, and on my dark horse with my 'guaina'
we go together to dance the chamame'.
Ah, my beautiful Taragui'!
accordion and 'mbaraca',
'wow!, double strumming...
A little trot over here,
a turn over there,
well danced it is.
