Glass Cathedral

Rhyan Gomez

Step inside the ruins of a thousand prayers
Ascending on a flight of invisible stairs
The stained glass is bleeding the light of the Moon
The bells in the tower are playing our doom
I built this sanctuary with shards of my past
A monuments of echoes that wasn't meant to last

Don't breathe too loud, don't touch the walls
The silence is screaming through these hollow halls
One more heartbeat, one more lie
Is all it takes to make the angels cry

Welcome to my glass cathedral
Where the light is sharp and the air is lethal
Every prayer is a crack, every hope is a stain
I'm worshiping the ghost of my own pain
It's beautiful, it's broken, it's all I've ever known
A king of crystal sitting on a fragile throne
(In my glass cathedral)

The incense is smoke from a bridge that I burned
The lessons are scars that I've finally learned
I'm kneeling on diamonds that cut like a knife
The architecture of a desperate life
You see the glory, I see the flaws
I'm trapped in a temple with no exit doors

Don't breathe too loud, don't touch the walls
The silence is screaming through these hollow halls
One more heartbeat, one more lie
Is all it takes to make the angels cry

Welcome to my glass cathedral
Where the light is sharp and the air is lethal
Every prayer is a crack, every hope is a stain
I'm worshiping the ghost of my own pain
It's beautiful, it's broken, it's all I've ever known
A king of crystal sitting on a fragile throne
(In my glass cathedral)

Holy, broken
Shatter the sky
Shatter the sky

Welcome to my glass cathedral
Where the light is sharp and the air is lethal
Every prayer is a crack, every hope is a stain
I'm worshiping the ghost of my own pain
It's beautiful, it's broken, it's all I've ever known
A king of crystal sitting on a fragile throne

Watch it fall
Watch it fall
Glory in the pieces
