La Caída de Gil-Galad

Rivendell

The Fall Of Gill-Galad

Gil-galad was an Elven-king.
Of him the harpers sing:
the last whose realm was fair and free
between the Mountains and the Sea.

His sword was long, his lance was keen,
his shining helm was seen;
the countless stars of heaven's field
were mirrored in his shield.

But long ago he rode away,
and where he dwell none can say;
for into darkness fell his star
in Mordor where shadows are.

La Caída de Gil-Galad

Gil-galad era un rey élfico.
De él cantan los arpistas:
el último cuyo reino era hermoso y libre
entre las Montañas y el Mar.

Su espada era larga, su lanza afilada,
su brillante yelmo se veía;
las innumerables estrellas del campo celestial
se reflejaban en su escudo.

Pero hace mucho tiempo cabalgó lejos,
y donde mora nadie puede decir;
pues en la oscuridad cayó su estrella
en Mordor donde habitan las sombras.
