Coração da Natureza
Estou morando num recanto de sertão
Onde a civilização não sabe que existe
Moro num grande coração da natureza
Onde o céu tem mais beleza e o galo canta triste
Aonde eu moro minha luz é um lampião
E a negra escuridão é a Lua que ilumina
Um simples rancho sempre foi minha mansão
É de lenha meu fogão e minha água vem da mina
Minha piscina é um simples ribeirão
E a minha televisão é um lindo amanhecer
O meu tesouro é um cavalo tordilho
E o meu ouro é o brilho que o luar vem me trazer
Nas dependências do meu rancho de sapé
Minha arma é a fé que protege os dias meus
Minha riqueza sempre foi minha saúde
E a minha grande virtude é a fé que eu tenho em Deus
O meu transporte ainda é um carro de boi
Que tantas vezes foi lindo tema de canção
Onde os poetas misturaram com saudade
Esse carro de verdade em simples recordação
Mas para o homem do mundo civilizado
Sou ainda um atrasado sem cultura e sem valor
Pois neste rico paraíso de verdade
Para ter felicidade não precisa ser doutor
Neste lugar feliz nasci
Neste lugar feliz sempre vivi
Parece até que Deus também nasceu aqui
Heart of Nature
I'm living in a corner of the backlands
Where civilization doesn't know it exists
I live in a great heart of nature
Where the sky is more beautiful and the rooster sings sadly
Where I live, my light is a lantern
And the black darkness is the Moon that illuminates
A simple shack has always been my mansion
My stove is made of firewood and my water comes from the mine
My pool is a simple stream
And my television is a beautiful sunrise
My treasure is a dapple-gray horse
And my gold is the shine that the moonlight brings me
In the surroundings of my thatched-roof shack
My weapon is faith that protects my days
My wealth has always been my health
And my great virtue is the faith I have in God
My transportation is still an ox cart
Which has often been a beautiful theme of song
Where poets mixed with longing
This true cart in simple memory
But for the man of the civilized world
I am still a backward person without culture and value
Because in this true rich paradise
To have happiness, you don't need to be a doctor
In this happy place I was born
In this happy place I have always lived
It seems like even God was born here
