Ruthe Dayanne

Ressuscitou

Ele provou a dor
Pois a quem tanto amou
Com um beijo lhe traiu
Foi esbofeteado, cuspido e humilhado
Como um servil
E no seu julgamento

Escolheram matá-lo e soltar Barrabás
Condenado por pregar a vida
Suas feridas sararam as minhas
Como ovelha ao matadouro foi
Coroa de espinhos sua cabeça furaram
Batendo com caniço a Jesus torturaram
Achando pouco a dor do meu Jesus
Mandaram açoita-lo

Jesus tomou a cruz, a multidão gritava
E algumas mulheres de tristeza choravam
A cruz era pesada, tão grande aflição
E pra lhe ajudar constrangeram simão
Chegando ao calvário
O meu mestre deitaram

Zombavam, humilhavam, escarneciam
E falavam: Salvastes a tantos
A cabeça do diabo

E na hora nona, ele exclamou, dizendo
Pai!
A terra estremeceu

O túmulo vazio e a pedra no chão

Ressuscitou (Jesus)
Ressuscitou (Jesus)
Ressuscitou (Jesus)
Ressuscitou (Jesus)

Ressuscitou o meu Jesus ressuscitou
Ele tomou a chave da morte e do inferno
Quebrou os aguilhões e hoje ressurreto
Sua tumba vazia
Ao mundo anuncia que Jesus ressuscitou
Sua tumba vazia
Ao mundo anuncia que Jesus ressuscitou

Resurrected

He felt the pain
For the one he loved so much
Betrayed him with a kiss
He was slapped, spat on, and humiliated
Like a servant
And in his trial

They chose to kill him and release Barabbas
Condemned for preaching life
His wounds healed mine
Like a sheep to the slaughter
Thorns pierced his head
They beat Jesus with a cane
Finding my Jesus' pain insufficient
They ordered him to be whipped

Jesus took the cross, the crowd shouted
And some women wept in sadness
The cross was heavy, such great affliction
And to help him, they compelled Simon
Arriving at Calvary
My master was laid down

And on the wood, they nailed his feet and hands
And feeling the nails in his feet
On the cross, they placed my beloved Lord
They mocked, humiliated, scoffed
And said: You saved so many
But now you can't save yourself!
They forgot one detail
That since eternity
Everything was determined by God
My Jesus is the seed that will crush the serpent
The devil's head

And at the ninth hour, he exclaimed, saying
Father! It is finished
And there he yielded his spirit
The veil of the sanctuary tore from top to bottom
The earth trembled
And the centurion, seeing all this, acknowledged
And said, truly, he was the Son of God

Sorrow burned without consolation
For they killed the master, without mercy, nor compassion
Joseph of Arimathea buried Jesus
Mary lamented the loss on the cross
A heavy stone, soldiers guarding
Thought they could hold my Jesus
And on the third day, Mary Magdalene and Mary went to the tomb

But the scene they saw immediately terrified them
The empty tomb and the stone on the ground
And a man in white
Sitting on the stone they saw
And with authority, he spoke to them
Why do you seek the living among the dead?
He is not here anymore, the tomb is empty!
He has risen!

The fury of Caiaphas did not stop him
The votes of Barabbas did not stop him
The crown of thorns
The lashes on the way did not hold him
The nails in his feet and hands did not stop him
Nor the stone, nor the cross held him
Even death was defeated
And in the tomb it is written that Jesus has risen

He has risen (Jesus)
He has risen (Jesus)
He has risen (Jesus)
He has risen (Jesus)

My Jesus has risen
He took the keys of death and hell
He broke the stingers and today resurrected
His empty tomb
Announces to the world that Jesus has risen
His empty tomb
Announces to the world that Jesus has risen
