It used to feel like a fairy tale, now it seems we were just pretending
We’d fix our world, then on our way to a happy ending
Then it turned out life was far less like a bedtime story
Than a tragedy with no big reveal of the hero’s glory

Puis on a réalisé que la vie ressemblait bien moins à une histoire du soir
Qu'à une tragédie sans grande révélation de la gloire du héros
Et on dirait qu'on n'était pas prêts
Pour un jeu qui n'était pas juste
On rentre chez nous ? On peut aller jusqu'au bout ?
Quand tout espoir est perdu, il y a une chose qu'on peut faire
