E o amor estava ali na cruz!

Muito Além daquela cruz
Teu sangue derramado
Um mistério vi no Teu olhar
Tua compaixão, olhando a multidão
Angustiada e sem entender que a lei
Só lhe deixava a dor
Crucificando o amor que lhe faltava
Tal mistério enfim
Se revelou pra mim
Mesmo que a multidão
Não creia em quem Tu és

Amidst the sound of the crowd
I heard someone calling
Your name... Jesus...
I had never seen anyone
Die just for trying
To love those who wanted love so much
And love was there on the cross!
Walking away... Jesus...
Far beyond that cross
Your spilled blood
A mystery I saw in Your gaze
Your compassion, looking at the crowd
Anguished and not understanding that the law
Only brought them pain
Crucifying the love they lacked
Such mystery finally
Revealed itself to me
Even if the crowd
Doesn't believe in who You are
I believe in You, Lord
I want Your love
Have compassion on me!
