Y yo usaba fino calzado y camisa
The Operating Room
In that corner where she always was
In the dark night
With burning sorrow
Men passed by in droves
And even boasted they were good customers.
She smiled with a sad look
And left in the early hours
When she had enough to feed me
At dawn
And the neighbors laughed heartily
Seeing her skin painted a little worn
But determined and even with all her might
Holding everything by my side gave me much love
Days passed, years passed
And I already knew it was a sin
And I wore fine shoes and a shirt
And my pants well put together
But I couldn't go on any longer
Because those nights tormented me
And I felt sorry that I found her
Selling her love
And she was my mother, that's why I became a doctor
But great is my sorrow, she was very ill
And in the operating room where I always operate
She fell asleep asking me for a kiss
