Miasma
Eroding like the phoenix
The rage inside me burns
I've taken my oasis and made it this desert
Vultures flying, gliding, biting, ruin what I have
A skeleton, hallowed out
The outline of a man
Emotions wander to the top
Like a submerged spring
Only to evaporate, steam in heat so blistering
For as long as I can remember
Feels like I've been throwing rocks on the fire
Lying and denying
Doing what I can
Just to keep this dim light shining
I guess it's true what they say
Some coal will never be diamonds
The emptiness
True happiness, I was only given a taste
Until the poison chose to devastate
As far as the smile that grazed my face
Again, the mirage, your ugly hand erased
This arid land I wander offers me no cure
So through the barrenness I must endure
I'm now a mosaic of my broken portrait
And no one but myself to blame for it
Looking out over the overcast and bleak
I know not what I seek
But the coxcomb forms only to break
As I stagger into the red
Miasma

La rabia dentro de mí arde
Tomé mi oasis y lo convertí en este desierto
Buitres volando, deslizándose, mordiendo, arruinando lo que tengo
Un esqueleto, vaciado
El contorno de un hombre
Las emociones vagan hacia la superficie
Como un manantial sumergido
Solo para evaporarse, vapor en un calor tan abrasador
Por todo el tiempo que puedo recordar
Siento como si hubiera estado arrojando piedras al fuego
Mintiendo y negando
Haciendo lo que puedo
Solo para mantener esta débil luz brillando
Supongo que es cierto lo que dicen
Algunos carbones nunca serán diamantes
El vacío
La verdadera felicidad, solo me dieron un sabor
Hasta que el veneno decidió devastar
En cuanto a la sonrisa que rozaba mi rostro
Una vez más, el espejismo, tu fea mano borró
Esta tierra árida por la que deambulo no me ofrece cura
Así que a través de la aridez debo soportar
Ahora soy un mosaico de mi retrato roto
Y solo yo tengo la culpa de ello
Mirando por encima del cielo nublado y sombrío
No sé lo que busco
Pero el penacho se forma solo para romperse
Mientras me tambaleo hacia el rojo
