Erasto and the Federal

Siglo XX

Erasto y El Federal

Señores, voy a cantarles, atención, pongan primero

Erasto and the Federal

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm gonna sing you a tale from Ometepec
A highway patrolman met his end with Erasto Ramírez

Listen up, folks, I’m here to tell you, pay attention first
Two men lost their lives in Ometepec, Guerrero
The highway patrolman and Erasto Ramírez Cisneros

He was driving his truck, just picking up some passengers
When he reached Makino, the patrolman signaled him to stop
Erasto parked to see what the issue was all about

They exchanged some words, not thinking of the fallout
Erasto, being humble, spoke with honest words
"Let me do my job, here’s my license for you"

The highway patrolman tried to slap Erasto
With his gun in hand, he abused his authority
"I’m a man just like you, if you want, let’s settle this now"

They started shooting, Erasto fired first
Alaniz was firing back with deadly accuracy
The patrolman hit Erasto Ramírez Cisneros

Erasto fell first, head facing south
The patrolman fell on top, like painting a cross
The U-T-D lost a brave man, full of valor and gratitude

Those men died like two proud roosters
Erasto Ramírez Cisneros and the highway patrolman
One with a lot of experience, the other, just a farmer.
