A Reason For Living
I felt in need of some loving so I sat down on a wall
I tried to find a reason for living, but I couldn't find a reason at all
So I owned up to my maker and I started to say a prayer
I waited for an answer but there wasn't anybody there
I thought there should have been someone, but I wasn't quite sure who
It finished me to find there was no-one that I could take my troubles to
So I knelt down by my bedside and I started to say a prayer
It was when I asked for nothing I could feel that there was somebody there
I'm looking still, but it's easy 'cos I know which way to go
It doesn't matter how long it takes me 'cos there's someone there to help me who knows
All the things that I am after, all the loving that I want to share
It's so hard but I don't mind 'cos there really is someone there

Une Raison de Vivre
J'avais besoin d'un peu d'amour alors je me suis assis sur un mur
J'ai essayé de trouver une raison de vivre, mais je n'ai trouvé aucune raison du tout
Alors j'ai fait face à mon créateur et j'ai commencé à prier
J'ai attendu une réponse mais il n'y avait personne là
Je pensais qu'il devait y avoir quelqu'un, mais je n'étais pas vraiment sûr de qui
Ça m'a achevé de découvrir qu'il n'y avait personne à qui confier mes soucis
Alors je me suis agenouillé près de mon lit et j'ai commencé à prier
C'est quand je n'ai rien demandé que j'ai senti qu'il y avait quelqu'un là
Je cherche encore, mais c'est facile car je sais dans quelle direction aller
Peu importe combien de temps ça prendra car il y a quelqu'un là pour m'aider qui sait
Toutes les choses que je recherche, tout l'amour que je veux partager
C'est si difficile mais ça ne me dérange pas car il y a vraiment quelqu'un là
