Tick tock on the clock it's almost two AM
The rain insists on pouring down till don't know when
The entrance light is flickering, welcome jingle's glitching
But I'm glad that I won't listen till someone comes and fixes it
I know I should be doing something more productive
But then again I don't earn enough to buy myself some
Thing is no one comes in and rents some random movie
So yes, you could say I'm wasting my time in this stupid
Night shift
I wonder if my boss will someday realize
That business hasn't been good since late 2009
So Betty why don't you come over, it'll only be
The two of us could cuddle and no one would discover
If only this old-ass TV was still working then maybe
I'd have myself something to distract me from
The fact no one comes in and rents some random movie
So yes, you could say I'm wasting my life in this stupid
Night shift
Tick tock on the clock it's almost three AM
