I want my life to be a light for those around me
I want my life to be that roadmap that says: Hope
I want my life to be a beacon on life's raging sea
I want the world to see Jesus when they look at me
When the world looks at me do they see Jesus?
When the world looks at me what do they see?
Do they see hope? Do they see love? Do they see charity?
When the world looks at me what will they see? (Do they see)
When I spoke, did my words contain Your wisdom, Lord?
And when I prayed, did my prayers contain Your love?
And did my life reflect the glory of Your Spirit?
And did I show the ones around me they were loved?
When the world looks at you do they see Jesus? (Do they see Jesus?)
When the world looks at you what do they see? (What do they see?)
Do they see hope (hope)? Love (love)? And charity?
When the world looks at me what do they see?
And, Lord, when the world looks at me what do they see?

Ich möchte, dass mein Leben ein Licht für die um mich herum ist
Ich möchte, dass mein Leben die Landkarte ist, die sagt: Hoffnung
Ich möchte, dass mein Leben ein Leuchtturm auf dem tobenden Meer des Lebens ist
Ich möchte, dass die Welt Jesus sieht, wenn sie mich ansieht
Wenn die Welt mich ansieht, sehen sie dann Jesus?
Wenn die Welt mich ansieht, was sehen sie?
Sehen sie Hoffnung? Sehen sie Liebe? Sehen sie Nächstenliebe?
Wenn die Welt mich ansieht, was werden sie sehen? (Sehen sie das?)
Als ich sprach, enthielten meine Worte Deine Weisheit, Herr?
Und als ich betete, enthielten meine Gebete Deine Liebe?
Und spiegelte mein Leben die Herrlichkeit Deines Geistes wider?
Und habe ich den Menschen um mich herum gezeigt, dass sie geliebt werden?
Wenn die Welt dich ansieht, sehen sie dann Jesus? (Sehen sie Jesus?)
Wenn die Welt dich ansieht, was sehen sie? (Was sehen sie?)
Sehen sie Hoffnung (Hoffnung)? Liebe (Liebe)? Und Nächstenliebe?
