The Great Speckled Bird
What a beautiful thought that I am thinking
Concerning a great speckled bird
Remember her name is recorded
On the pages of God's Holy Word
Desiring to lower her standard
They watch every move that she makes
They long to find fault with her teachings
But really they find no mistake
I am glad I have learned of her meekness
I am proud that my name is in her book
For I want to be one never fearing
The face of my Savior to look
When He cometh descending from heaven
On the cloud that He writes in His Word
I'll be joyfully carried to meet Him
On the wings of that great speckled bird

Acerca de un gran pájaro manchado
Recuerda que su nombre está registrado
En las páginas de la Santa Palabra de Dios
Deseando rebajar su estándar
Ellos observan cada movimiento que ella hace
Anhelan encontrar fallas en sus enseñanzas
Pero realmente no encuentran error
Me alegra haber aprendido de su humildad
Estoy orgulloso de que mi nombre esté en su libro
Porque quiero ser alguien que nunca tema
Mirar el rostro de mi Salvador
Cuando Él venga descendiendo del cielo
En la nube que Él escribe en Su Palabra
Seré llevado con alegría a encontrarme con Él
En las alas de ese gran pájaro manchado
