It was supposed to be so easy
Just take back the DVD, withdraw that extra money
Tell mum I wouldn't be back for tea, then grab my savings and hurry
So first to get the film back in time, to avoid that big fine
I had to do a fast hill climb, but a faster decline
But I flew a bit quick, arms like a lunatic
Had to stop for a few ticks, I started feeling sick
Got to the video shop in a state, but chuffed it wouldn't be late

Dus eerst de film op tijd terugbrengen, om die grote boete te vermijden
Moest snel de heuvel op, maar nog sneller naar beneden
Maar ik vloog een beetje te snel, armen als een gek
Moest stoppen voor een paar seconden, ik begon me ziek te voelen
Kwam in de videowinkel aan in een staat, maar blij dat het niet te laat zou zijn
Alleen toen hij de hoes opende, had ik de schijf bij mij thuis gelaten
Vandaag heb ik absoluut niets bereikt
Door gewoon buiten het huis te zijn, heb ik verloren
Als ik nu meer had willen hebben
Had ik gewoon in bed moeten blijven, zoals ik weet hoe
Dus ik faalde met de DVD, maar ik moest nog steeds het geld halen
Mamma zeggen dat ik geen thee kon maken, het spaargeld halen en dan haasten
Haastig naar de geldautomaat, nog steeds een beetje in de war en mager
En natuurlijk rijdt er een verplichte auto voorbij en spettert me nat
Bij de automaat zijn de rijen belachelijk, dames doen er eeuwen over
Mijn woede stijgt de pan uit, hoe lang duurt het om je loon te valideren?
Eindelijk is het mijn beurt, druk op de knop voor 50 euro
Onvoldoende saldo
Vandaag heb ik absoluut niets bereikt
Door gewoon buiten het huis te zijn, heb ik verloren

Had ik gewoon in bed moeten blijven, zoals ik weet hoe
Dus ik faalde met de DVD, kon geen geld opnemen
Maar ik moest nog steeds mamma bellen, het spaargeld halen en haasten
Dus om mamma te bellen zodat, ik haar kon vertellen dat ik niet kon gaan en dat
Tenminste herinnerde ik me mijn telefoon, ik wist haar nummer niet uit mijn hoofd

Ik erdoorheen ging, op weg naar de afspraak
Dus de schoenendoos vol geld, die gewoon van me verdwijnt
Is niet wat ik grappig noem, een groot bedrag komt niet voor niets
Vandaag heb ik absoluut niets bereikt
