I will stand stop everything that is mine
All thats around, beneath and inside
I'll show courage when I feel weak
I will listen much more than I speak
I will accept the good
Show more patience than I usually would
Sure as we'll someday grow old
I will fight for the ground that I hold
No one said it would be easy
With everyday its a little less hard
Stay pointed to where I am going
With everyday its not as far
Every chance I get, I'll try to express
Give thanks for how much I've been blessed
Sure to take pride in all I do
Be someone my people can bare witness to
I'm not trying to preach or impose
I'm a work in progress and so it goes
And sure as the next day will come
I'll work til my work is done
I will shake this hurried notion
That the best is yet to come
I will stumble here and there
The straight and narrow, easier said than done
No tan lejos
