In the event of a nuclear attack, get on the floor and cover your head and the back of your neck. If you're walking, dive into the gutter, it's a safe place. Get behind a tree, get behind a pole, put something behind you and that bright light. Because the first few seconds of that bright light contain more radioactive power than anybody can withstand. Immediately afterwards, head for the nearest shelter. As you walk down the street, look for a civil defense sign pointing to the shelter nearest you. In your metropolitan downtown areas, big buildings, department stores, all have basements. Any building built with concrete or cement blocks offers an excellent opportunity for protection. Follow all of these rules, and YOU WILL SURVIVE.

Geh hinter einen Baum, geh hinter einen Pfosten, stell etwas hinter dich und dieses grelle Licht. Denn die ersten Sekunden dieses grellen Lichts enthalten mehr radioaktive Energie, als irgendjemand ertragen kann. Danach, mach dich auf den Weg zum nächsten Schutzraum. Wenn du die Straße entlanggehst, suche nach einem Zivilschutzschild, das auf den nächstgelegenen Schutzraum zeigt. In den städtischen Innenstädten haben große Gebäude, Kaufhäuser, alle Keller. Jedes Gebäude, das aus Beton oder Zementblöcken gebaut ist, bietet eine hervorragende Möglichkeit zum Schutz. Halte dich an all diese Regeln, und DU WIRST ÜBERLEBEN.
