Yellow Raincoat
If I only had my Yellow raincoat I'd
take a walk in the pouring rain and I'd
look up at the sky, watch the clouds roll by,
worries wash away playing in the rain
If I only had my Yellow raincoat I'd
sit and watch cartoons on rainy afternoons
I'd build a blanket fort, put off my book report
watching Sesame Street in pajamas with slipper feet
If I only had my Yellow raincoat I'd
dance around in the pouring rain and I'd
make ice cream on my bike, any flavor I would like
worries wash away playing in the rain
If I only had my Yellow raincoat I'd
ride around on my big wheel and I'd
pretend that I could fly, soar across the sky,
always loved to play with big wheels in the rain
But, it's getting cold now,
and it's raining hard now,
and I'm too old to play in the pouring rain now
and I don't have my yellow rain coat, and I don't want to get wet anymore
Impermeable Amarillo
Si solo tuviera mi impermeable amarillo
saldría a caminar bajo la lluvia torrencial y
miraría al cielo, viendo pasar las nubes,
preocupaciones se lavarían jugando bajo la lluvia
Si solo tuviera mi impermeable amarillo
me sentaría a ver caricaturas en las tardes lluviosas
construiría un fuerte de mantas, pospondría mi informe
viendo Plaza Sésamo en pijama con pantuflas
Si solo tuviera mi impermeable amarillo
bailaría bajo la lluvia torrencial y
haría helado en mi bicicleta, cualquier sabor que quisiera
preocupaciones se lavarían jugando bajo la lluvia
Si solo tuviera mi impermeable amarillo
daría vueltas en mi triciclo grande y
pretendería que podía volar, surcaría el cielo,
siempre me encantó jugar con triciclos bajo la lluvia
Pero, ahora hace frío,
y está lloviendo fuerte,
y ya soy demasiado grande para jugar bajo la lluvia torrencial
y no tengo mi impermeable amarillo, y ya no quiero mojarme más
