Being a rock and roll star's not good enough for me -
I'm a-craving respectability.
My career is taking a different course-a:
Watch out world, I'm gonna be a author.
I'm swapping verse, middle eight and chorus
For paper, pen and thesaurus.
The only thing I'm keeping is the girls in front of stage:
I might be a genius, but I still want to get laid.
It's about time people began to see
Not all rock stars are like Ted Mulry.
It's prejudice, and my novel will be fighting it -
Just as soon as my roadie has finished writing it.

Ser una estrella de rock and roll no es suficiente para mí
Anhelo respetabilidad.
Mi carrera está tomando un rumbo diferente:
Cuidado mundo, voy a ser un autor.
Estoy intercambiando verso, puente y estribillo
Por papel, pluma y diccionario.
Lo único que mantengo son las chicas frente al escenario:
Puedo ser un genio, pero aún quiero tener sexo.
