The rain has fallen
for what feels like days
And were all drowning

Are we awaking in the water
wishing that we were
anywhere but here
this is home
we can not stay

we have to gather
before we leave
as the water breaks the levy
we panic to get out
congest the bridges of this city with our cars and
every single possession that we claim we need to breathe this air
were running around in panic to get out
Gather your belongings
for theres no point in
questioning what stays
and what goes with you
This has been quite the experience
to venture in to
the mindset of deciding
what is expendable
as I learn I am no longer invincible
like you all seem to be
when gathering everything i dont need

porque no tiene sentido
cuestionar qué se queda
y qué va contigo
Ha sido toda una experiencia
aventurarse en
la mentalidad de decidir
qué es prescindible
a medida que aprendo que ya no soy invencible
como parecen ser ustedes
al reunir todo lo que no necesito
