Modernas teorias, novas formas de pensar
Existem por aí nos meios intelectuais
Que vão do ateísmo mais profundo e radical
Até o humanismo com tinturas sociais
E hoje mesmo a crença tenta se modificar
E quer que o homem seja o fim de sua pregação
Senhor dos seus problemas, dos seus sonhos e ideias
Buscando aqui agora a total libertação

No entanto eu escolhi acreditar
Que existe um plano para a salvação
E que há um Deus no céu
A governar o meu viver
Mas que me dá poder até pra
Aceita-lo ou não
Oseu reino e liberdade e é amor
Espera sem forçar a decisão
Ele é descomplicado, não confunde o pecador
E fala tanto a minha mente quanto fala ao coração
O ser humano hoje
Só se volta para si
Buscando atender necessidades essenciais
Mas sem levar em conta que há uma vida superior
Que poderá suprir os seus anseios mais reais
E há os que procuram tudo racionalizar
Só crendo no que a ciência e a cultura podem ver
Querendo um milagre pela lógica explicar
Se fecham para as coisas do espírito e da fé
No entanto eu escolhi acreditar
E esperar assim em meu Jesus
Filósofos e mestres nunca irão avaliar
Aquilo que o amor de Deus mostrou na cruz
O meu Deus é poderoso e é real
Só nele eu encontrei, enfim. Perdão
Prefiro depender de sua força sem igual
E quero ter, então, por ele, transformado o coração

Modern theories, new ways of thinking
Exist out there in intellectual circles

And even today, belief tries to change

However, I chose to believe
That there is a plan for salvation
And that there is a God in heaven
Ruling over my life
But who gives me the power even to
Accept Him or not
His kingdom and freedom and love
He waits without forcing the decision
He is straightforward, doesn't confuse the sinner
And speaks to both my mind and heart
Human beings today
Only turn to themselves
Seeking to meet essential needs
But without considering that there is a higher life
That could fulfill their most real desires
And there are those who try to rationalize everything
Believing only in what science and culture can see
Trying to explain a miracle through logic
Closing themselves off to spiritual and faith matters
However, I chose to believe
And to wait like this in my Jesus
Philosophers and teachers will never evaluate
What God's love showed on the cross
My God is powerful and real
Only in Him did I find forgiveness
I prefer to depend on His unmatched strength
And I want my heart transformed by Him
