Break The Chain
Are we trying our hardest,
to be the best we can?
We don't know the problem.
We're tired of trying to solve them.
So we sit complacent,
and shut off our way of thinking.
We escape from reality,
but to the chain, we add another link.
What's holding us back,
from serving the one who set us free?
We need to step back,
and turn off this false reality.
I hate to turn it on,
and see a world gone wrong.
Why God's watching over me,
unlocking His wisdom and mercy.
Why can't we turn it off,
and set our minds on things above?
God, open our eyes,
to what you have in store for us.
Take these eyes of mine,
away from this unrighteousness.
Reveal to me, your straight and narrow path.
Break the chain of this unrighteous act.
Letting down our guards,
enslaved by images,
trading all our knowledge,
for the chance at entertainment.
Adding more frustration,
to the confusion of our minds.
Switching channel to channel,
never knowing what we're going to find.
Rompe la cadena
¿Estamos dando nuestro mayor esfuerzo,
para ser lo mejor que podemos ser?
No conocemos el problema.
Estamos cansados de intentar resolverlos.
Así que nos sentamos complacientes,
y apagamos nuestra forma de pensar.
Escapamos de la realidad,
pero a la cadena, añadimos otro eslabón.
¿Qué nos está frenando,
de servir al que nos liberó?
Necesitamos retroceder,
y apagar esta falsa realidad.
Odio encenderlo,
y ver un mundo desviado.
¿Por qué Dios me observa,
desbloqueando su sabiduría y misericordia?
¿Por qué no podemos apagarlo,
y enfocar nuestras mentes en las cosas de arriba?
Dios, abre nuestros ojos,
a lo que tienes preparado para nosotros.
Toma estos ojos míos,
lejos de esta injusticia.
Muéstrame tu camino recto y estrecho.
Rompe la cadena de este acto injusto.
Bajando nuestras defensas,
esclavizados por imágenes,
intercambiando todo nuestro conocimiento,
por la oportunidad de entretenimiento.
Añadiendo más frustración,
a la confusión de nuestras mentes.
Cambiando de canal en canal,
sin saber qué vamos a encontrar.
