From the Belly of the Beast
There is no where You cannot hear me
As I cry from the bowels of this hell
I pray for Your mercy and forgiveness
From inside the belly of the whale
I thought I could flee from Your Spirit
But I was quickly thrown into the sea
Now here I am crying for Your Help
From inside the belly of the beast
Inside this creature I cry out loud
Trapped inside three days and nights
I thought I could run away from You
Please don't cast me from Your sight
There is no where You cannot hear me
As I cry from the bowels of this hell
I pray for Your mercy and forgiveness
From inside of the belly of the whale
From inside the belly of the whale
The waters slowly engulf my body
As it nearly covers my head
I cry out in utter distress
Save me from this certain death
I will not forget Your call for me
I will preach and make You proud
Salvation comes only from You Lord
As the whale vomits me out
Uit de Buik van het Beest
Er is geen plek waar U me niet hoort
Als ik huil uit de ingewanden van deze hel
Ik bid om Uw genade en vergeving
Van binnenin de buik van de walvis
Ik dacht dat ik kon ontsnappen aan Uw Geest
Maar ik werd snel in de zee gegooid
Nu ben ik hier en roep om Uw Hulp
Van binnenin de buik van het beest
Binnenin dit wezen roep ik luid
Gevangen binnen drie dagen en nachten
Ik dacht dat ik van U kon weglopen
Alsjeblieft, werp me niet uit Uw zicht
Er is geen plek waar U me niet hoort
Als ik huil uit de ingewanden van deze hel
Ik bid om Uw genade en vergeving
Van binnenin de buik van de walvis
Van binnenin de buik van de walvis
Het water omarmt langzaam mijn lichaam
Terwijl het bijna mijn hoofd bedekt
Ik roep in totale wanhoop
Red me van deze zekere dood
Ik zal Uw roep om me niet vergeten
Ik zal prediken en U trots maken
Verlossing komt alleen van U, Heer
Terwijl de walvis me uitspuugt
