The Store

The Store

Tell the one who lives with you to be cautious
Not to neglect you so much
To close the chapel well because there are many faithful
Who want to pray to the saint

Tell him to understand that you are a delicacy for kings
That you incite excesses
Tell him there are hungry wolves who want to eat you
And I am one of those wolves

Whoever has a store should attend to it, good friend
Or pass the customer on to another well-stocked vendor
Don't open the basket even if the meat is dry
For in the old ark even the most righteous sin

If you shared your bed, my dear soul
That privacy of yours
From so much wandering around your body, touching glory
I swear I didn't sleep

Tell him to understand that you are a delicacy for kings
That you incite excesses
Tell him there are hungry wolves who want to eat you
And I am one of those wolves

Whoever has a store should attend to it, good friend
Or pass the customer on to another well-stocked vendor
Don't open the basket even if the meat is dry
For in the old ark even the most righteous sin
