Dos palomitas
Ayer vide conversare
dos palomitas por el aire,
tan cerca de mí pasaron
que me paré para hablarles.
Las vide y les pregunté
adónde van a casarse,
que me digan en qué lao
están las tranquilidades.
Me respondieron bajito
pa'que no supiera naiden:
no hay nadita mejor
que el volare por los aires.
Ayer vide conversare
dos palomitas en el aire,
las vide y del corazón
dos suspiros se me salen.
Two doves
Yesterday I saw two doves
conversing in the air,
so close to me they passed
that I stopped to talk to them.
I saw them and asked
where they were going to get married,
tell me on which side
the tranquilities are.
They answered me softly
so no one would know:
there's nothing better
than flying through the air.
