Fazendeiro pede pra Severinin desocupar
Já tinha até fruta madura
Jirimum enrramando no terreiro
E tinha até um passarinho
Que além de ser seu vizinho
Ficou muito companheiro

I ask for the attention of the gentlemen

I speak of Severinin, a very popular farmer
Who lived in a hut
And cultivated a field near Taperoá
And Severinin plowed the soft land every day
