O Mistério da Trindade
Caminhando na praia deserta
Me vi a pensar no mistério da
Trindade Santa.
Quando ao longe um menino tentava
Com uma concha
Colocar o mar num buraquinho na areia.
Logo me aproximei dizendo a ele
Que era um trabalho em vão.
Qual surpresa era um anjo
Que me olhou e então me disse:
É mais fácil por o mar aqui que compreenderes
A trindade e todo o seu mistério.
The Mystery of the Trinity
Walking on the deserted beach
I found myself thinking about the mystery of
the Holy Trinity.
When in the distance a boy was trying
With a shell
to put the sea in a little hole in the sand.
I soon approached him telling him
That it was a futile task.
To my surprise, it was an angel
Who looked at me and then said to me:
It's easier to put the sea here than to understand
the trinity and all its mystery.
