Resist Him
Satan, the roaring lion roams to and fro
Seeking whom he may devour
The Word of God tells us so
He's the father, the father of lies, he's come to destroy
He's the one who hates you, then discards you like a broken toy
The Lord opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble
Give yourself to God. With your eyes on him you won't stumble
And as for Satan, Resist him!
And he will flee from you
Oh! Resist him
Get close to God, He will get close to you
Satan, he tells you he has somthing good for you
He whispers in your ear, cracks open the door, he crashes through
At first you might not notice, this angel of light
I'm tellin' you get your eyes on Jesus
He's the Way, the Truth and the Life

Satan, de brullende leeuw dwaalt heen en weer
Zoekt wie hij kan verslinden
Het Woord van God vertelt ons zo
Hij is de vader, de vader van leugens, hij is hier om te vernietigen
Hij is degene die je haat, en je weggooit als een kapot speelgoed
De Heer staat de trotsen tegen, maar geeft genade aan de nederigen
Geef jezelf aan God. Met je ogen op Hem zul je niet struikelen
En wat Satan betreft, Weersta hem!
En hij zal van je wegvluchten
Oh! Weersta hem
Kom dicht bij God, Hij zal dicht bij jou komen
Satan, hij zegt dat hij iets goeds voor je heeft
Hij fluistert in je oor, opent de deur, hij stormt naar binnen
In het begin merk je het misschien niet, deze engel van licht
Ik zeg je, richt je ogen op Jezus
Hij is de Weg, de Waarheid en het Leven
