The Great Speckled Bird
What a beautiful thought I am thinking
Concerning a great speckled bird
Remember her name is recorded
On the pages of god's holy word.
All the other churches are against her
They envy her glory and fame
They hate her because she is chosen
And has not denied Jesus' name.
Desiring to lower her standard
They watch every move that she makes
They long to find fault with her teachings
But really they find no mistake.
I am glad that I learned of her meekness
I am proud that my name is in her book
For I want to be one never fearing
In the face of my savior to look.
When he cometh descending from heaven
On the cloud as he writes in his word
I'll be joyfully carried to meet him
On the wings of that great speckled bird.

Qué pensamiento tan hermoso estoy teniendo
Acerca de un gran pájaro manchado
Recuerda que su nombre está registrado
En las páginas de la santa palabra de Dios.
Todas las otras iglesias están en su contra
Le envidian su gloria y fama
La odian porque ha sido elegida
Y no ha negado el nombre de Jesús.
Deseando rebajar su estándar
Observan cada movimiento que ella hace
Anhelan encontrar fallas en sus enseñanzas
Pero en realidad no encuentran ningún error.
Me alegra haber aprendido de su humildad
Estoy orgulloso de que mi nombre esté en su libro
Porque quiero ser uno que nunca tema
Mirar a mi salvador a la cara.
Cuando él venga descendiendo del cielo
En la nube como está escrito en su palabra
Seré llevado con alegría a encontrarme con él
En las alas de ese gran pájaro manchado.
