Delighting in unintelligible
Images, precipitous, winding.
Ever espousing a body
Unluminous, formless and void.
Stoop not down, therefore,
Into the darkly-splendid world.
Where the mystic chasms
Are open before your eyes

Distant Sumerian flutes.
Where in continually
Lieth a faithless depth
And Hades wrapped
In clouds.
A black ever rolling abyss
Ever espousing a body
