The Root Of All Evils
There is great gain
In godliness with contentment;
For we brought nothing into this world
And we cannot take anything out the world;
But if we have food and clothing,
With these we shall be content.
But those who desire to be rich
Fall into temptation, into a snare.
Into many senseless and hurtful desires
That plunge men into ruin and destruction.
For the love of money
Is the root of all evils;
It is through this craving
That some have wandered away
From the faith And pierced their hearts
With many pangs.

Hay gran ganancia
En la piedad con contentamiento;
Pues nada trajimos a este mundo
Y nada podemos llevarnos del mundo;
Pero si tenemos comida y ropa,
Con eso estaremos contentos.
Pero aquellos que desean ser ricos
Caen en tentación, en una trampa.
En muchos deseos sin sentido y dañinos
Que sumergen a los hombres en ruina y destrucción.
Porque el amor al dinero
Es la raíz de todos los males;
Es a través de este deseo
Que algunos se han desviado
De la fe y han atravesado sus corazones
Con muchos dolores.
