Spanish Spell

Zilo e Zalo

Feitiço Espanhol

Ela chegou com o circo
Dedilhava castanhola
Era morena e bonita
Era meiga, era espanhola
Tinha os olhos cor da noite
E os lábios cor de cereja
Seu rosto tinha a beleza
De uma tarde sertaneja
Quando a viu cheia de graça
Na volúpia do bailado
Ele cheio de esperança
Ficou logo apaixonado
E um dia se decidiu
Ela tem sido o meu mal
Vou dizer que a quero muito
Vou declarar-me afinal

E partiu era de noite
Inquieto, meio arredio
Foi ao circo tiritando
Pois fazia muito frio
Mas ao chegar lá no largo
Chorou por tudo que viu
O circo havia partido
E o largo estava vazio
Saudade ficou com ele
Na praça ficou saudade
Saudade da noite amiga
E nas ruas da cidade
De noite o pobre rapaz
Sempre escuta a castanhola
E chora desesperado
Seu pranto ninguém consola

Spanish Spell

She arrived with the circus
Plucking the castanets
She was dark and beautiful
She was gentle, she was Spanish
She had eyes the color of the night
And lips the color of cherry
Her face had the beauty
Of a countryside afternoon
When he saw her full of grace
In the ecstasy of the dance
He, full of hope
Immediately fell in love
And one day he decided
She has been my trouble
I will say that I want her very much
I will finally declare myself

And he left it was night
Restless, somewhat shy
He went to the circus shivering
As it was very cold
But upon arriving at the square
He cried for all he saw
The circus had left
And the square was empty
Longing stayed with him
In the square remained longing
Longing for the friendly night
And in the city streets
At night the poor boy
Always hears the castanets
And cries desperately
His tears no one consoles
