Por Lo Que Obtuve
Tuve que pasar por todo para poder aprender
Que teniendo todo adentro ya no hay nada que perder
Si pudiera resumirlo todo en un atardecer
Plasmaría mi vida completa en un simple papel
Ponme una puñalada para hacer un tema
Y es que siempre fluye más cuando existe la pena
Vivo de emociones y eso no me hace problemas
Vivo agradecido por hacer de mi un emblema
En una nube de humo yo puse un deseo
Y aquella nube se elevó y subió hasta el cielo
Por esa nube de cantar no me detuve
Y hoy agradecido estoy por todo lo que obtuve
Amante de los mínimos detalles
Veo danzar el fuego en tu alma sin que lo subrayes
Se nota húmedo el reflejo en tu mirada
Se nota que hay mucha esperanza acumulada
Revisa mis bolsillos que no valen nada
Revisa dentro mío encontrarás un alma emocionada
Ocultando algo que es por lo que valgo
Me lo enviaron desde el monte santo y me detuvo el llanto
Por la mirada de un anciano el respeto de un hermano
Por poder entender que solo con nacer ganamos
Porque meditamos y nos elevamos
Porque es verdadero lo que hablamos
De tanto que canto ya me he curado del espanto
Y siento que de entre caídos me levanto
Envuelto de un invisible manto cubierto por poemas
Por cada poesía un emblema
Ponme enfrente el microphone
Y me olvido del montón menos del que me dejó este don
A él le debo todo lo que soy
No imagino el día en que me diga ven conmigo y voy
Mientras tanto a lo lejos estoy
Pensando en si podré aguantarme tanto tiempo en Babilón
Luchando no me dejaré vencer batallando sin llegar a caer
Rastafari me ha enseñado todo lo que hay que aprender
Y si he aprendido más es porque me ha tocao perder
Si es que la enseñanza del camino es pa fortalecer
Bienvenido entonces sea lo que hay que recorrer

Check my pockets, they’re worth nothing at all
Look inside me, you’ll find a soul standing tall
Hiding something that’s worth my weight in gold
It was sent from the holy mountain, and it stopped my tears from being bold
Through the gaze of an elder, the respect of a brother
For understanding that just being born is winning, no other

From singing so much, I’ve healed from the fright
And I feel like I rise up from the fallen, taking flight
Wrapped in an invisible cloak, covered in poems
For every piece of poetry, a symbol of my home

To him, I owe everything that I am
I can’t imagine the day he says, "Come with me," and I’ll scram
In the meantime, I’m far away
Thinking if I can hold out this long in Babylon, come what may
Fighting, I won’t let myself fall
Rastafari has taught me everything, after all
And if I’ve learned more, it’s 'cause I’ve had to lose
If the lesson of the road is to strengthen, I’ll choose
