Leaves fall on the ground
Weighing my footsteps down on my way through the hills

But a strange beating nearly filling my mind
The light of day is slightly darkening
Clouds over a desperate wailing
Rising up, running out, going down

Ancient laments from a distant age
A storm is coming our way
The sky is spitting out the thunder

My innocence is blown away
It's gone forever

It's running through my veins
I'm walking from the shelter, opening the fence
Leaving far behind those times of innocence
Things will never be the same
