আমি আছি গতকালেও
আমি আছি আগামীতেও
যেমন এখন আমি আছি
আমি আছি
তুমি আঙুল ছুঁয়ে দেখো
আমি আছি
ও বাতাসের জন্যে, হয়তো অরণ্যে
গাছের শরীরে, পাতায় পাতায় আমি আছি
হয়তো আষাঢ় মাসে, নরম হাতের পাশে
একলা ছাতায় আমি আছি
আমি আছি আগামীতেও
যেমন এখন আমি আছি
জীবন-দেওয়াল লেখা ভাঙা কবিতার মতো ঘর
জানলার কাঁচে জল অসময়ের বৃষ্টির পর
খুচরো আলোর ভিড়ে ছোট ছোট কত অভিমান
কিছু তো চাই না, তবু থেকে যায় পিছুটান, পিছুটান
আমি আছি গতকালেও
যেমন এখন আমি আছি
সময়ের মন নেই, তবু মন কেমন করে
নিজেকে অচেনা লাগে সমুদ্রস্নানের পরে
ও আবার সকাল হলে বসো তুমি রোদের ছায়ায়
যা নেই, তাও থাকে, আসলে কি কিছু বদলায়, বদলায়
আমি আছি আগামীতেও
যেমন এখন আমি আছি
ও বাতাসের জন্যে, হয়তো অরন্যে
গাছের শরীরে, পাতায় পাতায় আমি আছি
হয়তো আষাঢ় মাসে, নরম হাতের পাশে

Maybe in the month of Ashar, beside soft hands
Alone under an umbrella, I exist
I exist tomorrow too
Just like I exist now
Like a broken poem written on the wall of life
Water on the window glass after an untimely rain
In the crowd of dim light, so much pride
I don't want anything, yet something fades away, fades away
I exist yesterday as well
Just like I exist now
Time has no mind, yet how does the mind feel
Feeling unknown after a sea bath
And when morning comes, sit in the shade of the tree
What's not there, still remains, does anything really change, change
I exist tomorrow too
