Spring Came Early
On the western edge of town
the grass is coming in
and all of my good friends
are waiting for the heat to warm
the water in their pools
their sick and tired of school
winters gone along with our responsibilities
once again we're free
to roam the place
that we have claimed
our home and disagree
on the stupidest of things
I can feel the end of something here
I've been dreading it for all these years
we have just weeks
to celebrate
our friendship and our youth
it's the last thing that we'll do
before the stress of growing up
consumes us and we stop
all our careless thoughts
I wish that we could run away
from plans and not look back
but life changes so fast
the future looms in front of us
and scares us half to death
we'll soon be silhouettes
I can feel the end of something here
I've been dreading it for all these years
once again were smiling when we hear
that spring is coming earlier this year
La Primavera Llegó Temprano
En el borde oeste de la ciudad
la hierba está creciendo
y todos mis buenos amigos
están esperando que el calor caliente
el agua en sus piscinas
están hartos de la escuela
el invierno se fue junto con nuestras responsabilidades
una vez más estamos libres
para vagar por el lugar
que hemos reclamado
como nuestro hogar y discrepar

lo he estado temiendo todos estos años
tenemos solo semanas
para celebrar
nuestra amistad y nuestra juventud
es lo último que haremos
antes de que el estrés de crecer
nos consuma y paremos
todos nuestros pensamientos descuidados
Desearía que pudiéramos huir
de los planes y no mirar atrás
pero la vida cambia tan rápido
el futuro se cierne frente a nosotros
y nos asusta hasta la mitad
pronto seremos siluetas
Puedo sentir el fin de algo aquí
lo he estado temiendo todos estos años
una vez más estamos sonriendo cuando escuchamos
que la primavera llega más temprano este año
