I don't know where she came from but she wanted a ride
Before I could say anything she just got inside
She said, "you got a cigarette?" I said, "what's your name?"
She said, "I'm josephine but in memphis I'm jane"

Guess that was my first warning and I should've took it
She said, "I been clean 8 months now, hey you got some money?"
I just started laughin' cause it was so funny
